From Villammare begins the long ascent along the Cilentana Coast that will take us to Paestum. There are many stretches along the entire marine section that can be cycled alongside the sea as an alternative route that follows the SS 18 and passes through the municipalities of Ispani, Policastro until turning off onto the SS 562 towards Scario, the seaside village of San Giovanni a Piro. From Scario, the road climbs up towards Mount Bulgheria to reach the village of Bosco, once a municipality but united with San Giovanni a Piro by an edict of the King of Naples following repression after the Risorgimento uprisings of the first half of the 19th century. Continuing the ascent, we reach the main town.
